Tree work continues

This past week we have limbed up the pines on #5. It takes a lot of time to remove and cleanup the debris from all the limbing. The approach to this hole receives very little sunlight and by raising the canopy of these trees, I hope that we can dry this area up. As you can see from the photos, a lot of limbs were taking out.

Winter storm Jonas

Last weeks snowfall of 15" was very heavy and wet. I had to rent a bulldozer( a first for me) to help scrape driveways and neighborhoods, as well as the city streets. All of my equipment was getting stuck due to the snow being so heavy. Enjoy the pics.

Winter has finally arrived

This morning it was a cool 10* at the shop. It only got to the mid 30's for a high. This week we have been chipping all of our limbs from the pine trees as well as fixing the damage by the 10th tee from last weeks rain event.

2015 rainfall totals

We managed to hit 100" of rain for the year of 2015! Let me break that number down just a bit more. The lowest month on rain was march coming in at 3.3". The most rain for a month was December at 19.7". We had 45" from January - August . We had 55" from September to December. That's over 8' of rain. El NiƱo is providing us with a wet winter, if we could only get some snow!

Wedding in the dominican

After 4 years of dating we finally said our "I do's". I want to thank the club members for giving us such an amazing engagement party back in the summer. We spent 10 days in punta Cana for the wedding/ honeymoon. A total of 27 family and friends attended our wedding. Here are a few pics from our trip.

Tree work

IWith all the rain, and the fairways too wet to aerate, tree work has started around the course. We are currently working on holes 6-8 right now. We are raising the canopy of all the trees that are along the cart paths, and even removing a few pines to let sun in on a few holes. It's been a tough winter trying to accomplish all of our winter work due to the excessive amount of rain.

Rain, rain, and more rain

It's a little wet out. If we could just get some cold weather to match up with all this rain there would be a ton of snow. I will tally up the year end rainfall next week. I'm pretty sure we will hit 100" for the year. Happy new year everyone!
