Croquet 2018

It looks like we will be playing croquet in 2018. We are in the very early stages of building a 16,000 square foot green. This court will be built just like a green, internal drainage, gravel and 12" of sand. We will sod the court with A-1 bent grass. We have taken down over 30 trees at the pavilion and are in the process of removing the fescue sod. We will use this sod on the golf course in various places in the rough. 

Fairway aerification

We have begun the long process of aerating all the fairways. Hope fully we will get done by the end of this month. Holes that are completed are 4,7,11, 12,13,15 and 17. Please be patient with the crew that are working on certain fairways during this time.

34 hole in one's!

Just wanted to give a shout out to my dad, James Mason, who has recorded 34 hole in ones in his golfing career. I'm still looking for my first, congrats pop! Make that 35 as of December 9th 2017.

A little rain

We got 5" of rain today and will be cart path only for a few days. Enjoy the pics .

Range aerification

Today we completed aerify inn the range as well as topdressing the greens. Next week we will complete the tees.

First frost of 2017

We had our first frost of the season with a low of 28*. This will slow the grass down and allow us to complete some other projects. As we move in to the rest of the golfing season, we will mow tees , fairways and roughs once a week, and greens 6 days a week. We still have a ton of aerification to finish before winter sets in.

Hurricane Nate

Nate dropped 8" of rain in 24 hours. The course faired well with only bunkers being washed.
